Meet your teacher
Learn with Angela Smith
Angela is an American English teacher and ESL coach with more than 15 years of experience helping Arabic-speaking learners communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
Her experience includes private and small-group lessons, online teaching, bilingual schools in Kuwait, conversation courses for teens and adults, and personalized support for learners with different goals and learning styles. She has taught and supported more than 900 students through classroom instruction, tutoring, and online lessons.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology. Her educator development includes IB PYP training, Understanding by Design, classroom management, learning centres, and supporting children’s independence. She also brings more than two decades of experience in business administration, operations, healthcare, customer service, and professional communication.
In 2019, Angela designed and delivered a five-day intensive English for Specific Purposes course through the Australian College of Kuwait for employees of Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water. The program connected grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and workplace communication with the participants’ professional needs. Its completion was also covered in Arabic-language press.
